Surveyor-I is a fully autonomous mini fixed wing UAV designed for surveying and mapping applications. It can carry a 400g payload (Canon Powershot camera) and offers excellent endurance with low noise operation. The airframe is made of Elasto-Polymer foam and Carbon Fiber Composites.

Survey Camera

The aircraft is fitted with a CANON Powershot camera which takes still pictures at the grid waypoints automatically. The pictures are then geo-tagged using the flight telemetry log and processed on stitching software like Pix4D to form a 3D map for engineering purposes.
